Heaven Train

Featured on the day-stage at the 1981 Edmonton International Jazz City Festival and in local clubs, I initially formed the group Heaven Train to record a jazz radio show commission by Dominique Soutif, producer with CHFA Radio-Canada. A big fan of the Hammond Organ, M. Soutif ‘discovered’ me playing with The Brian Hughes Trio - Brian eGtr, Dennis Burke drums and BobD on the A-100.

The Heaven Train Quintet show led to another radio program offering, this time in a R&B setting (with the budget for a horn section!) and thus begat Heaven Train Dectet. Happy groovin’!!
